Theophilus C. Prousis, Professor of History Emeritus and University Distinguished Professor at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Florida, received his Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota in 1982 and specializes in Russian, Near Eastern, Balkan, and eastern Mediterranean history.  He taught courses on European, Holocaust, Russian, Balkan, and Middle Eastern history and has published extensively on a variety of topics.
